The Process of Getting Veneers

The first step in providing a patient with veneers is ensuring that the teeth and gums are healthy. Then the front of the teeth will be prepared for the placement of veneers. In most cases, a small amount of enamel will be removed so the veneer will fit properly.

Dr. Shevchenko will then take a precise impression of the patient’s teeth and mouth so the veneers can be created. Temporary veneers will be placed while a dental lab makes the durable porcelain veneers.

When the lab has delivered the veneers, they will be tried on for a perfect fit and match to the patient’s natural teeth. Finally, they will be securely bonded to the teeth.
